Dean comes from Hull and has been writing poetry since his teenage years and performing onstage for over 25 years now. His honest, moving, often hilarious, usually rhyming poems always have an immediate, positive effect on audiences and so two nights were recorded in May 2022 in front of a Hull crowd.

This album was recorded in May 2022 over two celebrated evenings at the Wrecking Ballroom in Dean's home town city of Hull. Dean fans old and new packed into the upstairs room to witness the performance, which now makes up Dean's debut album on Irregular Patterns.
